Sweet Home Alabama as performed by the Leningrad Cowboys

with 2 comments

Backed up by the Soviet Red Army Choir, the Leningrad Cowboys sing Sweet Home Alabama.  This whole scene seems like it could be some sort of alternate ending to Red Dawn.

  1. I think the Russians just discovered a new power source. Dip dead Soviet leaders in iron, wrap in copper, and have the Red Army Choir sing Imperialist running-dog capitalist hits. Free, non-polluting electricity as Kruschev rolls in grave. It makes me feel almost as jingoistic as Rocky IV.

Who knew the Russians were Good Ole Boys deep down?

  2. I’m still sad that Apollo Creed died.
