Hurricane Dean – Closing in on Jamaica

leave a comment »

Category 4 Hurricane Dean is moving through the Caribbean with 150 mph sustained winds.  Computer models have come into alignment with a landfall over Jamaica, followed by an impact on the northern Yucatan, and a final landfall around the border of the United States and Mexico.  All three landfalls are forecast to be at major hurricane status, meaning Dean will be anywhere from a category 3 to a category 5 at the time, so damage will be extensive.
