Dean Gaining Strength in the Atlantic

leave a comment »

As of this morning, Tropical Storm Dean has maximum sustained winds on 50 mph and is moving west at 18 mph. It is entering an area more favorable to development and is expected to become Hurricane Dean by early Friday. By Monday morning, Dean is forecast to be a category 3 hurricane, with maximum sustained winds of 111 to 130 mph. Forecasts beyond 5 days are somewhat unreliable, but everyone in the Caribbean, gulf region, and eastern seaboard on the United States needs to keep an eye on Dean
