Rue the day has a nice collection of costumes from this year’s Comic Con.  I think Nurse Joker is my favorite, just based on the sheer awesomeness of that entire scene from the movie.

Captain America: Fuck Yeah!

1991 saw an ill-fated, direct to video movie version of Captain America.  Much like the unreleased Fantastic Four film, it winds up being entertaining based on sheer comic value.  Here are some clips, mashed up with the best song from Team America.

Interesting side note, I’m writing this from a hotel in Virginia and was directed to this particular video by the hotel manager after we struck up a conversation that centered around a theory of Batman being the Johnny Cash of comics.  My point is simply that I belong to a secret underground network of nerds.  We are everywhere.  Even in the 1940’s:
